Dr. Thomas is the founder and primary veterinarian of CHVC. He graduated from Assam Agricultural University in India and has been practicing since 2003. He has spent many years working for rescue organizations in Philadelphia helping to spay and neuter hundreds of animals. He is very happy to realize his dream of having a practice with a good foundation of client education and quality pet care. Establishing a clientele that knows their pets will be treated like family by the staff of CHVC is an important aspect of his values. Dr. Thomas is a firm believer that an educated pet owner is the best pet owner!

Certified Veterinary Technician 

Mary is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been in the veterinary field for the past twelve years. She is very excited to be a member of the Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital medical team. She has two cats at home Riku (Left) and Samanosuke (Right - Sammie for short). In her time away from the clinic, she is a talented dancer for a dance company and dance competition team.

Veterinary Technician

April has been in the veterinary field for about six years starting kennel work at the Conchester Animal Hospital. In 2010 she developed a strong passion for shelter medicine with her experience at ACCT Philly, where she also met Dr. Thomas. Over the past few years April has worked at The Pet Mechanic/Operation Ava no-kill rescue, and the PSPCA. She started at Caring Hands with Dr. Thomas in Dec. 2014. She will be starting school in Jan. 2016 to take prerequisites for Vet School. April is a huge advocate for rescue and adoption. She has 4 rescued pitbull mixes and 2 cats at home.

Veterinary Technician Assistant

An aspiring veterinarian, Michael started at Caring Hands in March of 2016. Happy to learn at work, Michael enjoys caring for small and large animals alike, and also serves as a volunteer with Special Equestrians and the PSPCA. In winter of 2016, Michael was an intern with the Philadelphia Zoo working in the barnyard/stables and researching birds of the African Savannah. In his spare time, Michael likes to travel and sing duets with his Doberman/Husky Mix Rufus.

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Kayla has been a part of the Caring Hands team since August 2016. Her passion for animals took off when she started volunteering at ACCT in 2010 and has fostered many dogs in need over the years. She is currently taking classes at Penn Foster to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has 4 dogs at home that she loves and cares for greatly.

Receptionist / Veterinary Technician Assistant

Janixa joined our team in April of 2017 to pursue her passion to work and care for animals. She is currently working towards becoming a CVT through Penn Foster's program. At home she is a loving mother to two Chihuahua's, Shorty and Mila.

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Keara became a part of the Caring Hands Vet Clinic team in June of 2017. She is currently in her senior year at Delaware Valley University, majoring in Small Animal Science. She has had a passion for working with animals since a very young age and is working towards her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She has a rabbit at home named Alfie.

Office Manager/Veterinary Technician Assistant

Monica is most likely the first person who will greet you when you walk into Caring Hands Vet Clinic. She has been a veterinary receptionist, technician and Manager for going on 10 years and loves every moment of it! She has been working along side Dr. Thomas since he opened Caring Hands in 2012. She has two Pekingese, Ellie and Gizzy, and 2 cats, Tamie and Catniss, that she loves and cares for at home.

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Being able to work with animals and their owners is something that Tiffany loves about working at Caring Hands. She has worked in animal related fields for several years before recently joining our team. She is a graduate of Pennstate University, with a bachelors in Veterinary and Biomedical Science. Her goal is to attend vet school in the future. When not in the office, Tiffany enjoys spending her free time with her 4 dogs: Khloe and Bella, Shih Tzus, Kiki, a Maltese mix, and Devo, a pit bull mix!

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Brittany joined us at Caring Hands as a Veterinary Technician Assistant in August of 2017. She previously worked at a pet supply store for 10 years, and through that experience she found her love and compassion for pets and wanted to expand her career and work hands on with animals. At home, she loves to hang out with and spoil her fur baby, a Pit Bull Terrier named Dawkins.
